On day 3, we drove into South Carolina and went to Hilton Head. Since we were so close to the border, it was a no brainer-- we needed another state to add to our photo map (haha) and Jen and I had been there on a girl's trip in 2020 and had a blast. We saw the lighthouse and marina area, did a little shopping, then had lunch and rented bikes to ride around. Jace couldn't ride due to his recent TBI, so Devin took one for the team and stayed with him and Flor. They followed us around in the van, which was a real blast I am sure. But Jace feels like he got the good end of the deal because they went to a pastry shop and ate a bunch of pastries while waiting for us. So win/win. Bike riding was a great way to see the island and we had a blast. After our return to Savannah, the adults went out to dinner while the kids fended for themselves with spaghetti.
