February Photo Dump

This is a big one! Apparently we were busy in February.

Cabin Weekend:
Over President's Day weekend, the kids and I headed up to the Crapo's cabin in middle-of-nowhere, Idaho. It was an amazing weekend of just sitting around, eating too much, playing games, and staying up way too late with Cort and her crew, Jen & Steve, and Mikey and Lara with appearances from my mom,Sue-Dawg and Judd, and Mari Ann. I didn't do my hair or makeup the whole time (as you'll see in these awesome pictures). It was bliss. Hope we do it again soon!

Sue-Dawg and me. Poor woman shattered her knee and had to have surgery and has a cast on her entire leg. She's a trooper. I think we hid the wheelchair well in the picture? :)

When Grandma Lisa showed up, she brought Valentine crafts for the kids and also helped them make sugar cookies. They were in heaven!

Cute Emma is getting so big

Thanks to Aunt Jen for all the cute pictures...

It was Sadie's birthday during our visit! Happy birthday to this cute girl.

Aren't we looking snazzy in our sweats? Love it.

BYU Game:
While Devin's sister Shawna was in town, we hit up a BYU game with a lot of the family. We do love BYU plus basketball games plus family. Win, win, win.

Hallie loved her pom poms from Hailie Birch that she got for Christmas. They were a big hit for the children.

What a bunch of beautiful girls.

The big crew

Uncle Devin loves Kylie

Devin is clearly enthralled with the game, but isn't this the cutest picture of Flor?

Us and cute Dallin in the back

Uncle Travis is really one of Flor's favorite people ever. How cute are they?

Valentine's Day:
These are all out of order, but hey. I am so not a "Pinterest Mom". So, the fact that I threw together some Valentine's boxes the day before was a real feat. Yeah. I wrapped some boxes and cut out some hearts and that was that, but the kids were happy.

We also remembered to dress them in red/pink, which is a bonus.

Hals and her friend Nora

Flor got to participate in V day with her special ed class and her regular ed class (Yes, she has one- she goes for music :)) Anyway, she got personal valentines from everyone in her class and a few of them seriously had me in tears, like this one. What sweet kids there are out there!
Randomness:

First picnic of the year and it was only February! It has been a very mild winter...

The kids got to go to work with daddy one Saturday and had a blast riding around on the golf course

And Flor loved the dog they have there...randomly, since she tends to hate all animals. This is her kissing the dog if you can't tell...

Cute boys after church one day

 Flor at the Jazz Game:
Flor was invited to participate in a "Rare Disease Day" at a Jazz game in February. We were invited by the Aware of Angels organization, which is run by one of her classmates in Provo's mom. So, she got to go out on the floor during the National Anthem. We were unsure how she'd do and thought she may roam off, but she did really well! Luckily the Jazz bear was there to keep her in place too a few times. Too cute. The picture below appeared in the Deseret News the next day. So now we have a famous Flor! :)

She is now the proud owner of her own Jazz jersey too (which they provided for her)

Carlie joined us for the Jazz game and we couldn't have been happier!

Apparently we crack ourselves up

Devin & Kim Getaway:
Since we didn't spend Valentine's Day in the same state (I was in Idaho at the cabin and Devin had to work), we made it up by having a night away with just us. We cashed in our Christmas gift from Sue and Che', which was a night's stay at the Anniversary Inn, plus babysitting, plus dinner. Amazing Christmas gift, right?! And far above the limit, might we add. It was such a great evening. Devin and I have not done this in a long time. So thanks to Che', Sue, and especially Landon for making it happen (he ended up with the kids for the whole night as Che' was working). You guys are amazing.

First we went to an improv comedy show in downtown SLC. It was so much fun and hilarious. We'd go again..

We are King/Queen of the selfies! Here we are at the Inn, though you can't tell...super cool location that used to be a jail. Nothing more romantic than that!

We stayed in the lighthouse room. Loved it.

Whew! Amazing month. We had a lot of fun.
