Yay!! Our I-800A is officially approved! We sent it on Nov 1, they received it on Nov 14. We received an RFE on 12/27/14 (We needed to send a copy of our birth certificates and marriage license- not sure how we missed this before). Officially approved on 1/8/2015, we received notice on 1/13/2015.
Today we took our huge stack of documents to the local city hall and two lovely ladies notarized them all in quick fashion. We have 28 of them to now take to the state capital to get apostilled. I will take them tomorrow. If we do the normal speed, it's $15 per document. That takes 3-5 days. I think I can wait that long because the expedited fee is $65 per document. NO THANKS! I'll go back and pick them up when they're done and off they'll go to our agency and then to Ecuador.
This is moving along! It seems so much faster than last time.
