I looooove the month of December. Our countdown to Christmas helps us get in the Spirit of the season while also enjoying all the fun things to do during this time of year! It never gets old. I am already looking forward to next year. :)
Here's a few things we were up to this season:
Setting up the Christmas Tree- Flor kept trying to put the stockings on her feet. Haha! She knows what those look like. Smart girl. |
A beautiful sight! |
Not Christmas related, but one day after a bad, bad, day, my neighbor randomly brought by chocolate and flowers. Seriously perfect timing and so sweet! |
We decorated sugar cookies one night and this is the only picture I have of it. I am becoming a failure at photographing! |
Hallie begged and begged all month long to go ice skating. They set up this cute rink at Station Park and we all planned to go, but Jace was particularly naughty that day, so he had to stay home. Taking the girls alone was really fun, though a lot of work. Hallie was in heaven! (I have no idea why this picture has lines up and down it..again-- I need some photography help!) |
Happy girl! |
Yes we have seriously hodge-podged snow clothes around here. Who's judging? :) |
Our dear friends Christy and Michael sent M her first (and only) Christmas presents! They are so sweet and always so thoughtful. We are saving them for her whenever she gets here. |
Hallie's Christmas kindergarten program. This looks almost exactly like a program I might have been in in Kindergarten. Her teacher reminds me a lot of mine back then! The kids had a ton of songs and dances prepared and it was darling. We were surprised to see that Hals is not the tallest in her class! I think two have her beat. |
Not the best picture, but Devin and I got to have a date night and to go the Forgotten Carols with Che, Landon, and Carlie. Always love the Forgotten Carols and it is perfect to get you in the spirit of the season! |
Not Christmas related again, but the kids wanted their picture taken with the Monsters during Flor's appt at Shriners. Gotta love that place. |
Hallie got an easy bake oven for Christmas and we busted it out right away when we got home! Love that thing! I always wanted one and never got one, so thanks Mari Ann and Hailie for fulfilling my wildest childhood dreams!! Great present. |
I love, love, love Christmas cards! I know it's a dying art, but I love getting them in the mail and seeing everyone's happy faces during the season. This was the last of the Christmas to come down and it made me sad. Love it. (Do take note of my Aunt Sue's drawing in the middle of the door if you can see it. She sent a hand-drawn picture of herself with a Merry Christmas. She's so funny.) |
And here was our card, thanks to my BFF Haylee, who always does an awesome job for us! Love it.
Next, we'll hear about Christmas and then Flor's birthday! |
