August

Since I haven't posted about much that has happened in August, here it is in one big photo dump. After the crazy month we had in July, August slowed down for us, which is really nice. Most of our activities focused around Hallie's extra-curricular activities, so don't be offended that most of these pictures are of her. We still love Flor and Jace, too.

Swimming Lessons:

Hallie took a two week swimming lesson class through the city. She loved it. We had her signed up for the most basic class, but then they bumped her up to the next level after the first day. She then failed the class. haha. Awesome. So we will try that one again next year. 

Perry Family Reunion:
On a Monday, we had a day-long family reunion with Devin's family. We were only able to be there for half because Flor had an appointment at Primary's that morning. However, the half day that we were there was pretty awesome. We love spending time with family and this was extra special because everybody was able to be there.

We finally got a new adult family picture, which is pretty great since the last one with everyone in it (and by that I mean not photoshopped in) is about 5 years old.

Hallie only wanted her picture with Brelynn. That's it. Easy enough.

As part of the family talent show, Mesha and Trex showed us how mentos explode when put in a pop bottle. I bet I don't have to tell you that the kids loved this...

Fair:
As part of the county fair, Hallie modeled her tie-dyed t-shirt with her friend Ashley. She was a little shy on stage, but luckily Miss Utah County was there to help her out.

Hallie got a green ribbon for every item she entered into the fair - 14 items. She also got $1 for each item as well, which was lovely.

First day of School: 

Flor started 2nd grade! She is excited (as you can tell) to be back in school and we are happy too, because she does so much better with structure and routine. She is developing and progressing all the time and we can already see more progress since she has started school. yay! She is also doing really well going to the potty at school, which is SO great. She is really getting it!
