This year, our ward decided to have a combined young men/young women's camp. We went Wednesday and got back today and packed in the adventures. We had the BEST time. We have incredible youth and leaders and had such a fun time together. I am going to have to break this up day by day since there are so many pictures to share. I was lucky enough to get to go with Hallie and Jace and that was a special experience.
Day one, we left the church early and drove to Logan Canyon where we did a 7 mile hike to White Pine Lake. You start at one lake and end up at another. Most of our group didn't make it down to the 2nd lake because there was a lot of snow, but a select few did & it looked gorgeous. The rest of us were about a mile short, but the entire thing was so pretty, it was totally worth it.

After we did the hike, we got into St. Charles, ID (Bear Lake) to our cabins. We had a big main lodge where most of the boys stayed, then 10 littler cabins around it, where leaders, the girls, and the older boys stayed. It was a totally ideal arrangement for our combined camp. I was lucky enough to sleep in a little cabin with 4 of my YW leaders, which meant late night chats and laughs, but no listening to kids all night long. Haha.
After dinner, our kids were divided into 4 teams that they stayed in for the rest of camp for various activities. Their first activity was to build a cardboard boat, big enough that someone could ride in it for a boat race the next day. Several teams just whipped them right out, and others spent hours working on them. It was very entertaining.
And of course the girls did a little decorating of their cabins. :)
