Fingerprints & the Kindness of Others

Devin and I were both fingerprinted yesterday for our I-800a. It is serious business to be fingerprinted for federal purposes, apparently. We were given a time to show up, had to clear security and have a pat-down, and tun off all phones completely. It was like an airport scene, but with far less friendly employees (if possible). We're hopeful that this means our I-800a approval is coming soon. We did get an RFE (request for evidence) last time, which I think they throw out for fun sometimes just to delay the process. So, we're hoping to avoid that experience this time. Continued prayers appreciated.

On a separate note, we have felt so much support from everyone. We have had a "secret pilgrim" mail us a grocery gift card around Thanksgiving and just on Sunday, a member of our Bishopric brought over a lovely poinsettia and a card from a "Secret Santa" with a gift card for a lot of money to Toys R Us. We are just blown away at the kindness of people. I wish we knew who you are, so we could thank you in person. I hope whoever it is will get the message that we are so thankful for your kindness and for thinking of our family.  I wish we knew what kinds of things M likes and is in to, so that we could start stocking up on things for her. I am sure she's had hardly anything to call her own over the course of her lifetime. Anyone know what kind of toys/games 10 year old girls like? Any tips are appreciated!

Hope your holiday season has been extra special this year!

Oh that's so sweet. I love being reminded that there are still so many good people in the world. No one deserves this act of kindness more than you.
