Slipping, Sliding, and Sledding

I hope everyone had a Merry Christmas!! We sure did. We went to Devin's parent's house on Christmas Eve night after Devin and I got off work (I know, a real drag that we both had to work, but such is life). It was my first Christmas away from home, but I had a great time nonetheless. I think the spirit of the season is real wherever you are. We spent Christmas day doing the normal opening of presents, a big family meal, etc.

Devin's family has a tradition that they go sledding on this road outside of Fairview with runner-sleds! I had heard how fun it was, but I was surprised at how great of a time I had. We learned that sledding on your stomach makes you go faster. All of the nieces and nephews had a great time too. Devin is everyone's favorite uncle, so they each had to take turns riding with him.

At the bottom of the hill, we all loaded up the truck and then drove back to the top to start over! I think this picture is so cute...this is Cole (2 yrs. old) on the ride up the hill. He was bundled up so tight.
We also took turns driving the truck back down the hill, so I took my turn for a few times as well. It was nice to hang out in the warm truck with the kids who were done/frozen to death/bored. Here we are enjoying ourselves in the car: Brooklyn, Trey, and Katelyn.

I LOVED THIS BLOG. The 4 cheese sticks and 2 nut rolls was the best. Definately memorable one for the "Book of Tales" that you will tell your children...someday.
